Most of the people speak a form of an Arabic dialect. Well, this dialect is a combination of Arabic, French, and English words. This dialect is too far away from standard Arabic. I think that the first settlers spoke standard Arabic. Then with the emergence of different kinds of people and cultures and with colonization, this help to alter the standard Arabic to the spoken dialect now. It is amazing to see that this dialect is different from Ouled Djellal to its neighbourhood. No town speak the same, although all these towns are near to each other. People are usually identified by their way of speaking and their accent. Please for more information, feel free to contact me. I will be glad to add more text on it. Thank you |
